As the owner of RenewMarine Ltd I provide consultancy to offshore renewables and marine companies based on my 30 years experience of working in the power, then offshore renewables and most recently (8 years), the offshore wind focused Construction / Service Operation Service vessel sector. Through my experience and training my ability to help widens into business strategy, all delivered with a good deal of common sense.

I am a non-mariner working in the marine sector. This allows me to bring the knowledge of the end user and blend it with the expertise and knowledge of the mariners that support and surround me. Whether talking to financers, clients, or vessel crews, this makes a difference. My passion, my approach and my sector wide knowledge is supported by one of the biggest networks in the sector.
This allows me to be different and proud to be different. That's me!

A deep coal miner, turned power engineer, turned offshore wind expert and now a marine consultant.
Its been a journey however the power of the journey has been to add it all together.
With marine, 15 years ago I personally started to promote the concept of the Service Operation Vessel (SOV) when working in the offshore wind sector .

With marine, 15 years ago I personally started to promote the concept of the Service Operation Vessel (SOV) when working in the offshore wind sector .
Unbeknown to me, this was the start of a shift from the offshore wind sector to the marine sector. A shift that has led me to my passion - the marine sector.
A past MD of two C/SOV companies and having ordered 7 new build CSOV's and 1 long term SOV that I led the negotiation of the 10 year support charter.
Analysing trends and driving thought leadership from a unique knowledge platform. That's me!
